New Album is titled "Psychedelic Roadhouse"
So we changed the title of the album from "The Desert" to "Psychedelic Roadhouse" we also have 2 new tracks on it. So it's got 5 total. Also bandcamp has new player themes for embedding.
Opening for Leather Wolf June 14th
Opening the show at 7pm. Leatherwolf is headlining, they were a band from MTV in the 80s. It;s cool they are original and still going at it. The bookers band Slam Band is also preforming with his band Slam Bang, so it should be pretty cool if people were there that early.......
Moving on
So my band some how entered this competition for the Daily Herald; a local newspaper we have I guess not so much local but a major one. It's a talent show, I didn't really know what the prize was but now I know the winners goes to America's Got Talent. Anyways we played "Make You Mine". The judges dug it, they bashed Mark's style of clothing lol. I do not care... Anyways we moved on to the next round bleh. >^..^<

The Update
Hello world.....
News for this week as of now. Opening for Leatherwolf June 14th at Penny Road earlier show for us but the night should work out n' be good..
Cobra Lounge on a Tuesday????? June 11th, Show happening at 8pm again we are opening... I dig, I think opening is actually a great slot compared to playing so late that everyone is sick of the sound coming from the bands before..... SO ya the last show we played before i posted this was at Gallery Cabaret (chicago). We opened it was fantastic.
Story for you readers. So Friday we were opening at Pennty Road I honestly didnt' care to much thought it would suck anyway. But it turned out some of the bands had people coming early so we were like "at least theres a crowd" But Mark wasn't there. He was lost with his girl friend 20 miles East. I was so pissed I wanted to give up. Man I was stressed I was just about to cancel we had 10 min for him to show up and he is not so good with directions. I mean lots of stuff band didnt want to switch and all that. So I was like Ahhhh, stress bogus give up now...... BUT THEN Mark out of nowhere proved me wrong and showed up and we played a short set pleasing the crowd. Ya it was a pretty wild weekend.

Strange Days
It's been pretty wild the past week. Hectic schedule and strange calls. Last night after rehearsal for tonight's show we get a call from Andrew Messiah of Cairo Bar in West Chicago, he asks us if we could play that night. So we packed in an hour and left for the show. Pretty cool it was a steam-punk event I liked they liked us and they were pretty cool people. Also tonight's show was a last minute gig as well for booking agent Bob Cozza, he friended my girlfriend a while back and she noticed that there was a lot of notices for bands. So I friended him I asked about the shows he sounded in a rush asked for Sat. So here we go...... Also played Miss Kitty's Open mic Night Wednesday of this week. Pistol Pete really Dug our Sound..

Last Night's show experience
First off I'd like to thank Hostel Earphoria for having my brother host the rad show. It was super rad. Every band last night was pretty much top tier of Chicago. Bands like Bike Cops, The Go Down and Killer Moon really had an extreme impact on the night.
There was this far out band of travelers that really made the night as well called Creeper Swamp String Band. They are one of the coolest band of travelers I have met; their music is the real deal when it comes to mental realization and the feel of the road.
It was nice to see our music was dug as well.

Facebook Sucks/ Opening a Links page +my own FB links
*Nyuck Nyuck Nyuck* Ya just wanted to say that publicly. I don't know it's kinda alright but I mean I'd rather find cool websites and not spend my time reading about other peoples' problems and lame shit posts. Blogger is a cool place to do all that. Haha word.
Ya opening a link section/page on my blog if you would like to share your site/blog lemme know and I'll get you up there pronto. I'll posts other blog/sites I find interesting as well so you be sure to check em' out as well.
My prediction? Facebook will be obsolete by the end of Q2 2014.
What is you opinion...?
Oh ya btw I have an account and so does my band so check the links if you must.

Sunburst P-bass
Classic I need this holy grail of paintjobs attached to my Fender MIM neck. I don't care what brand it is as long as it fits my neck. Would throw on my Seymour Duncan Designed pick-ups. Yes "designed", not the real things......yet. Gotta get that sometime.

Soggy Bog of Doom Show
Very cool show. Lot's of great bands featured in the podcast it's very cool. Turns out we are on it, THANKS FOR THE AIR TIME!!!!! Listen through the embed below or official PodOmatic here ---> The Soggy Bog of Doom
Tim needs a new amp geez.
So Tim's amp is a P.O.S. it used to be a rad Fender Roc Pro but now it's a pile of bad solder and touchy electronics. It was thought the capacitor was broken, spent $20 to get it replaced, worked then Tim pulled out the ground, fucking idiot. I just fixed that earlier now it's fucked. Before that it was $125 for some retard to look at it and say it was working, didn't work after that. You know sometimes I say fuck this vintage amp shit and get something at least from the 90's. At least you know they'll last more than a year. Ughhhh...
Be in a band, get the chicks!
Simple as that. You know all you gotta' do is be yourself, act a bit mature and there you go. Must be something mystic about it or something. To me it seems like you either get a job and work the rest of your life, join a crime syndicate, idk maybe invent something, or join a band. I want out I joined a band.
I want out of the meaningless unappreciative daily boring job. Sure you get rich and get some social class....maybe, but you know; who's legendary then?
It's the ones that succeed doing what they love. It's the ones doing what they truly want going down in history. It must be the whole love part, once you lose that it's pretty much game over for you and the chicks.

Top Five Chicago Venues
A reblog... -via The Examiner
"A venue can make or break a show. There are so many factors during a concert experience independent of a band and its music, including venue sound, layout, atmosphere and crowd. Chicago is home to a healthy amount of venues - big and small - so any local live music enthusiast is sure to have a list of personal favorites..."
- Schubas (3159 North Southport Ave in Lakeview) - Schubas is pretty much the ideal place to catch a band in Chicago. It's intimate and relaxed, but features a diverse roster of musicians that includes both local favorites and more widely-known, national acts. On top of that, the sound is great, the prices are good and the staff is always friendly. What more could you want?
- Hideout (1354 West Wabansia in Noble Square) -
One of the main reasons to see a show here is the sense of personal
satisfaction you get when you finally locate the blasted thing. Yes, the
Hideout really does hide out. So much so that the first time I went
there it resulted in a rather confused and strained relationship between
me and my cab driver. That aside, once I made it inside I found a
comfortable, unassuming place that serves as an ideal setting for
checking out some of the many awesome indie acts that call Chicago home.
The Chicago Reader and its readers agree - they recently selected it as the city's finest rock venue. What the Hideout crew had to say for itself says it all:
"Of course the secret to our success is not a secret at all. It is a friendly staff, made up mostly of musicians, and artists, that are not only concerned with our community but actually participate in civic minded activities. Add amazing bands and cheap beer and you’ve got a great party." - The Vic (3145 North Sheffield Ave in Lakeview) - When it comes to a happy medium between huge venues and small venues - as well as the huge and small acts that go with them - the Vic is very effective. Every time I've been there the sound has been great, you can choose whether you want to sit or stand and it's easy to get to via public transportation. Did I mention the sound is great?
- Park West
(322 West Armitage in Lincoln Park) - Just been to Lollapalooza and
still trying to scrub strangers' sweat and cigarette smoke off your
skin? It's time for a more relaxed, intimate show. Lincoln Park's Park
West is the perfect place to go for a more chilled-out (but often still
quite rocking) evening in a unique, classy atmosphere. This venue is
generally frequented by more thoughtful, singer-songwriter and veteran
acts, which means you probably won't have to deal with trashed indie
kids annoyingly preventing you from hearing or seeing the show.
The theater has been around since the 1920s, but turned into Park West in 1977. Since then, it has provided a welcome antidote to one too many consecutive dive bar shows. - Metro (3730 N Clark St in Wrigleyville) - Metro isn't a perfect venue, but it's undeniable that it's a mainstay in the Chicago music scene and usually features a strong selection of music that spans popularity levels and genres, including small, large, legendary and new acts. Plus, you get a good view pretty much anywhere you stand.

Review of our Gypsy [EP]
Chybucca picked up our music somewhere on the net and wrote a review on the Gypsy 2-track release.
"Originality is an overrated trait in the music industry, especially when a new band perfects an old formula. Like seasoned veterans, these Chicago-based psych-rockers sound like they formed in another decade; more specifically, the late ‘60s. Reconstructing druggy drone-rock has become an all too familiar theme in recent years, but when it sounds as good as this you can see why." -via Chybucca Sounds
Cassette and streams
Viper Fever
released an album out into the public world yesterday. Full color
artwork cassette. Very nice! Self/hand made, printing and Staples is
great for spicing up the "packaging". Recorded onto Maxwell 30min
cassettes, so you get 3 tracks per-side. Buy from our bandcamp for $8. You can also stream n' download from the bandcamp itself though to get the full effect you need the cassette. Believe me it does not disappoint.
Distortion Distractions at Multi Kulti
Last night the band preformed at Multi Kulti a cool DIY music venue. Turn-out was huge about 300 attendees the first night which was Friday the 12th. We played around 9:30. All was perfect great venue, huge turnout, first gig. But, you know something is always gotta give. Used the house bass amp which was an antique Ampeg SVT 4x10. I hate 4x10's anyway as a bassist. Sounded like crap couldn't even distinguish the sound coming out of it; house drum kit resonated making every note sound out of tune. Oh well the crowd stuck around and dug it. D&D event page
Selfless Bio written by Dan
Viper Fever; Psych rock of the Doomed Occult
"Formed in late 2012, Viper Fever emerged 2013 with a release of three 2-track EP's. Their sound can be distinguished by the drone pulsating sound. Their lounge psychedelic riffs can only be extenuated by their stylish shirts. Dan's percussive style bass is remarked as mystic, while Mark's drumming style is too original to be described. Tim, the main songwriter, carries the band's outward vision.
